STOCKPORT COUNTY manager Jim Gannon completed his squad for the 2016/17 season after making a triple signing.
The Irishman agreed a deal for experienced striker Kayode Odejayi to remain at Edgeley Park after the 34-year-old joined the Hatters from Tranmere in the summer of 2015. Gannon also persuaded full-back Sam Minihan and midfielder Gary Stopforth to join the National League North side.
Minihan, 22, helped Worcester City stay in the National League North last term while Stopforth, 30, has arrived from County’s new league rivals Salford City. The former Ramsbottom United man signed for the Ammies in January 2015 and helped them secure back-to-back promotions.
Gannon began a third spell in charge at Edgeley Park in January when he replaced Neil Young, who was then named the new Altrincham manager shortly after their relegation to the National League North.
The Hatters went on to finish ninth in the table but this season are hoping to win promotion from non-league’s second tier at the fourth time of asking, with Gannon having also bolstered his squad with the likes of Ben Hinchliffe, Mark Ross, Michael Clarke, Courtney Meppen-Walter, Adam Thomas, Danny Lloyd and Josh Amis.
